Based on the original Tudor Submariner 7922 from the 50s, this is the rarest of the non-LE Black Bay model line (and even rarer than some "Limited” Editions!)

The N stands for Noire in french, differentiating it from the mich more common Blue and Bordeaux bezel versions. The new black bezel version, 79230N was released afterwards (No smiley text) and is also comparitively common.

This is the first generation version, produced only from October 2015 to March 2016

Approx 3000 produced, a tiny number for Tudor. Values of this model have been steadily rising since discontinued.

Featuring beautiful matte black dial with gilt hour markers, gold halds and printed gilt minute track and small Tudor rose. Excellent lume.

Very good condition, some light scratching on polished flancs and bracelet/clasp and springbar marks behind lugs.

Full set, Includes original steel bracelet (some light scratches), Original Tudoer Nato-style strap and 1x Geneva Blue Horween strap of choice (see under “straps” section)

Priced variously online in the $8500 to $11000 plus range (some optimists even value it at over $15000!)
