It may sound like a cliché, but this is a design classic !

Since 1861 Junghans has been producing great clocks and watches in Germany’s black forest region. In the 1950s the Swiss artist and designer Max Bill was tasked with designing a new range of clocks for Junghans, which then became the basis for the long-standing “Max Bill” line of wristwatches, with which Mr Bill was also involved for years. Max Bill studied at the famous Bauhaus design school in Dessau, and endowed this line of beautifully designed watches with his classic minimalist stamp, creating an iconic look celebrated down throughout the decades since.

This Chronoscope features many of the subtle design elements which have become sought after by watch aficionados and design illuminati :
